The Star Alliance carrier says in a short stock market statement that it plans to begin operating scheduled flights to Miami. It does not specify further details of the service.
The airline previously operated flights linking Istanbul and Miami between 1999 and the summer of 2002.
Flightglobal's Innovata shows there are no scheduled operators on the route. Turkish Airlines already serves eight points in the USA.
The Turkish carrier also outlined its intention to begin flights toMakhachkala in Russia.
